Eritrean Families in Hume & Northern Suburbs

EFHN envisions a community where inclusive advancement is championed, fostering enhanced equality of opportunities and facilitating social mobility for all members.

EFHN established and registered incorporated as an association in the 1 of May 2013, it   Purposes are;

• To support use and families by organising sport activities and events, BBQs, short trips, cultural events, and social activities beneficial to Eritreans youth and families.
• To run sport competition tournaments quarterly to help strengthen relationship with Eritrean/African from other Melbourne suburbs.
• To encourage the association members to participate in activities run by the Hume City Council such as Harmony Day, clean-up day Australia or similar positive activities.

This is achieved through the augmentation of access to quality employment, improved services, and heightened economic stability.

Our objective is to empower our community members to actively engage and make meaningful contributions to Australian society.

The values upheld by EFHN communities encompass the rich tapestry of their diverse identities, cultures, languages, histories, and viewpoints.

These communities also prioritize values that acknowledge their pivotal role in safeguarding the environment, combating climate change, and fortifying resilience against natural calamities.

Furthermore, EFHN communities share a vision and values that harmonize with their ethnic heritage, which holds significant importance in terms of fostering a sense of belonging and shaping identity.
